PokerStars report $567.9 million half-year revenues

It has been a good year so far for Amaya and PokerStars in their first company report since the $4.9 billion acquisition.

Amaya Gaming
$706.5 million in combined revenues

Last week Amaya Gaming released their first Business Acquisition Report since their August acquisition of Oldford Group, the owner of PokerStars and Full Tilt. The report covers the first half of 2014.

2014 has seen growth compared with the same period last year. In the first half of this year Oldford Group recorded $567.9 million in revenues (Up from $545.9 million in 2013), $218.4 million in net income (Up from $189.9 million in 2013) and $246.4 million in net cash from operating activities (Up from $207 million in 2013).

Amaya and Oldford Group combined revenues for the first half of 2014 were $706.5 million and $276.3 million in net income.

Combined player funds were recorded as being $606 million in the first half of the year. The company also recorded expenses of $78.7 million.

Understandably Amaya CEO David Baazov was happy with the report:

“We’re very pleased with the performance of PokerStars and Full Tilt in 2014. The core poker business continued to grow during the first half of the year and recorded strong cash flow. More recently, we have broadened our rollout of casino, including into Spain, and introduced an exciting new poker game that has proved very popular on Full Tilt and which was recently launched on PokerStars.”

The same report highlighted significant changes to the business, including the introduction of Spin & Go tournaments (Which have had 7.5 million games played in the first two weeks), and the companies plans to introduce slots next year to the recently launched Spanish PokerStars Casino offering.
