News: Boku87 Propbet: Half-time

The German PokerStrategist Thomas "boku" Boeckhoff has reached the end of the first week in his challenge and he is now up by almost $5,000. With a week left - he will still need to hold on to the pace in order to take it home.

As we reported earlier here, the German PokerStrategist
boku made a prop-bet with the poker community,
claiming that he can turn $100 into $10,000 in just 15 days by playing

one week down, one more to go

After beginning with a dream start during which he catapulted to $2,000 in just 3 days of playing the micro limits, it seemed like boku would finish the bet in just the first week alone. The 4th and 5th days however were played in the "shadow of the doomswitch" and saw him playing break-even for over 1,500 SNGs. Instead of his regular 15-20% ROI on the 16$ and 30% at the 12$ SNGs he was running at 3% for the 16$ and -5% at at the $12. This did not make him dispair though - but only bolstered his determination.

Increasing his invested hours to around 14 a day and keeping up the heavy multi-tabling he has now played a total of 4,261 sit and goes in just 7 days. (over 600 a day) He is planning on at least holding this rate for the coming week. Recovering from his day 4-5 slump he currently has $4,949.10 in his account and needs $5050,9 more to win the bet. With one more week to go, things are therefore quite close. If he manages to run well he will certainly be able to make it - the question is how many more SNGs will he need - and if he will be able to hold the pace. We certainly wish him the best of luck!

Boku's profit after one week

While he started out as Fixed Limit player in 2006, his will to
multitable as many table as possible eventually made him switch to
SNGs. Since then he has continouly impressed his fans with extensive
mult-table sessions & challenges to himself.
