Crazy three way hand on High Stakes Poker

Patrik Antonius, Phil Ivey and Daniel Negreanu all played a monster hand very differently to how amateurs would this week on the cash game show.

Multiway pots are very hard to figure out and after the latest big hand from High Stakes Poker, they won't seem any easier. 

In the hand two men made full houses and another made trips. Not only that but it may have been a rare instance where the most notable aspect of the hand was how two elite players both made big mistakes, in part because they think about the game on different levels to the rest of us. 

It's a truly interesting hand were we see a very good laydown from Ivey, as well as a situation where Antonius value bets the worst hand and luckily for him it leads to Negreanu folding the winner. As Gabe Kaplan says if this had been a table of amateur players all the money would have gone in by the turn. 

Negreanu told PokerNews that his memories of losing to Gus Hansen's quads on the show may have influenced his fold. He also released a new video on his channel dissecting the hand:
