PokerStrategy.com's Daniel Junglemandan Cates proved w hy he's one of the best online players in the world yesterday with a decisive win over one of the year's biggest winners Ben "Sauce123" Sulsky.

The pair met in PokerStars' All-Star Showdown finale and, after a tight start, Cates eventually asserted his dominance; albeit with a helping hand from lady luck at one point.

With so little to choose between them on paper the match was always going to be tight and that proved the case after the first two hours.

By hour three, however, Cates caught a break and after rivering a flush in a pot worth $93,600.

He then went on to to scoop another pot worth $200,000 with .

After bets and raises on every street, the pair finally got their stacks in on a board. In the split-second before the cards were revealed Sulsky must have been confident with his pocket deuces, however, after Cates' hand was flipped over and the $200,000 pot was shipped in the opposite direction he realised how unlucky he’d been.

The momentum was now firmly behind Cates and, despite Sulsky maintaining his composure and mounting a series of fight backs, he eventually closed out the match after 3,179 hands.

The win netted him $550,000 as well as the title: All-Star Showdown Champion.

Looks like Howard to us

Chad Elie might have been portrayed as one of the villains in the Black Friday drama, but in the last 24 hours he's made an effort to right some wrongs.

While the lies he's addressing aren't necessarily his own, the convicted payment processor is working hard to expose those who've tried to deflect attention from their wrongs.

The Twittersphere has become Elie's chosen medium and in a series of tweet he's taken to exposing the likes of Howard Lederer, Ray Bitar and other payment processors.

One of the most interesting tweets by Elie questions Howard Lederer's claim that he'd never met any payment processors.

"I never met with a payment processor - Howard Lederer. Interesting Howard, do you not remember the MEETINGS we had? What about NYE? 5hr meeting."

Shortly after posting this Elie uploaded a picture of Lederer, Bitar and himself talking at a function (shown left).

A host of other letters and documents have also been posted on the account and in the coming week Elie has promised to disclose more information.

For those questioning the validity of the account, both DiamondFlush and @AgentMarco have confirmed its authenticity and have also arranged to conduct interviews with Elie in the next week.

PokerStrategist in Sunday Million success

PokerStrategist 'sebbauuu' took full advantage of PokerStars' Double Vision Sunday yesterday with a third place finish in the million dollar guarantee.

A total of 8,027 players started the $215 event, creating a prizepool of $1,605,400 and, after battling through the masses, PokerStrategy's German representative managed to find himself amongst the chip leaders after entering the final table third in chips.

A swift elimination of "Brankerr" in 8th place put 'sebbauuu' in a commanding position and, as more players hit the rail, he looked to be the man in control.

However, once the field had thinned to just three players 'sebbauuu' rejected an unfavourable deal before losing a coin flip and hitting the rail with a fantastic $120,405 score.

While Cates and Sulsky were battling each other in the All-Star Showdown final, the rest of the high stakes world were feeling the force of "patpatman".

The nosebleed grinder managed to eclipse the profits of his nearest rival, "ragen70" ($59,389), by banking $194,575.
 
At the other end of the spectrum, Ben "Ben86" Tollerene finished the day as the second biggest loser; behind Ben Sulsky who finished $400,000 down thanks to the All-Star Showdown.

Tollerene's $167,464 loss came over the course of 1,554 hands and left him over $75,000 worse off than "ocropTi" who dropped $89,370.
