Record-breaking One Drop

Last year the inaugural $1 million Big One for One Drop attracted a sell-out field of 48 players and this year the charity's second tournament has produced another impressive turnout.
With a reduced buy-in of $111,111, the One Drop High Roller attracted 166 players and generated a $17,891,148 prizepool, which pushed the top prize to a tantalising $4,830,619.
Equally as impressive as the money on offer is the fact that the tournament surpassed the GuangDong Ltd. Asia Millions' record for the largest field in a six-figure buy-in event.
While pros from around the world sat down for a chance at WSOP glory, Phil Hellmuth elected not to take part in the event.
In a tweet he wrote: "It's true, I skipped #WSOP One Drop tournament today. I LOVE the One Drop Charity and will continue to support it, but wasn't feeling it."

Duhamel's ex-girlfriend guilty

Jonathan Duhamel's ex-girlfriend, Bianca Roja-Latraverse, has been jailed for 42 months.
Following a 2011 incident in which Duhamel's house was stormed by two masked men, Rojas-Latraverse pleaded not guilty to planning the heist.
However, Rojas-Latraverse was subsequently imprisoned during the trial and earlier this week she was in court again.
Despite her continued denial, the judge presiding over the case concluded that Rojas-Latraverse was the brains behind the crime.
Rojas-Latraverse has already served 18 months in prison and will continue to serve the rest of her 42 month sentence behind bars.

The largest buy-in event of the Open Series so far took place last night and, after carving his way through 45 players, German grinder
huiiiiiiiiii banked the top prize.
An aggressive opening to the tournament ensured that things ticked over a healthy pace and by the time just a few players remained it was
huiiiiiiiiii who took control.
After contributing to the demise of the Ukraine's
alfatenn in third place, huiiiiiiiiii dominated Belgium's
Stultitia99 to claim the gold medal and $1,750, leaving his opponent to settle for $1,125.
In the day's other tournament, India's autheking continued his impressive run in the Open Series with a gold medal in Event #47.
68 players joined the $3.30 Limit Hold'em event and by the time the Czech Republic's n11ke09 hit the rail in third, autheking managed to overcome Germany's Maximinist to bank $68

Ben "Sauce1234" Sulsky took advantage of yesterday's quiet conditions by raking in $293,664.
With many of the game's top players contesting the WSOP's One Drop High Roller, Sulsky was able to top the daily leaderboard ahead of "Kagome Kagome" ($199,404) and "gomir" ($77,244).
Slipping to his first significant loss for a few days was Viktor "Isildur1" Blom.
The enigmatic Swede dropped $326,762 over the course of 1,311 hands to finish ahead of "Sanlker" (-$164,142) and "forhayley" (-$68,749) on the daily loss leaderboard.
