Doyle still putting in the toil
Poker veteran Doyle Brunson has seen the face of poker change beyond recognition during his fifty years as a professional poker player.
One thing that seemingly hasn't faltered one bit, is Doyle's determination to play and win; he admits in this week's blog to "playing everyday 8-12 hours each time despite having high blood pressure" and seems to be winning at a fair old clip too.
"Poker is going strong in Vegas", he notes. Poker is going strong in Doyle too, and long may it continue.

WPT Seminole
The rather long-windedly named WPT Seminole Hard Rock Lucky Hearts Poker Open is in full flow, and Day 2 ended last night with just 34 players vying for the $268,444 first prize.
Former PCA champion Harrison Gimbel (456,000), Noah Schwartz (258,000) and PokerStrategy.com coach jonathanlittle (220,000) are all in the mix. Your current chip leader is Matt Juttlestad who bags up 805,000 chips to take into Day 3.

Double Vision Sunday
Yesterday saw the return of PokerStars's Double Vision promotion and it proved as popular as ever, with players unphased to buy in or qualify for four of the Sunday majors, rather than the usual two.
The first Sunday Warmup went to "Illini213" who bested 4,175 players to collect a $131,027.94 payday.
It was a good day for PokerStars Team Pro Andre "aakkari" Akkari who took down the second edition of the Sunday Warmup, bagging $118,000 for his troubles after navigating the 3,772 player field.
The Sunday Million round one drew an astounding 7,852 players to compete for over a $1.5m prize pool. When the dust had settled, it was Germany's "uWi$hIamDeaD" who took 1st place and $139,159.47 after a five-way chop.
The second part of the Sunday Million drew an equally impressive 5,671 players and it was Canadian pro and recent PCA Main Event runner-up Kyle "KJulius10" Julius who took all the cheese, to record a monster win for $177,391.58.

High stakes corner
The past 24 hours have seen Israeli PLO specialist Rafi "refaelamit" Amit take the PokerStars tables by storm, banking over $200,000 according to HighStakesDB.
PokerStrategy.com Black Member mtw-davin took something of a beating over the weekend, and his 24 hour total puts him as the day's biggest loser, dropping close to $140,000.
Daily Signoff
Today's signoff looks back at a hand from man of the day Doyle Brunson. High Stakes Poker saw what was the largest ever televised pot at the time between Doyle and business mogul and part time player, Guy Laliberte.
