A lesson in bankroll management
Here at PokerStrategy.com, we pride ourselves on giving every player the tools he or she may need to become a successful poker player.
One of the most important elements, if not the most important element of playing winning poker is bankroll management.
One glaring example of unorthodox BRM was pointed out to us this week; check out the graph of PokerStars player "I7AXA". It’s been a rollercoaster week for the Russian player; having come second in the Sunday Million just days ago "I7AXA" had padded his bankroll by $140,000, however it seems that the win may have gone to his head…

EPT London
Tensions are running high at the London Hilton Metropole today as the final of EPT London is underway.
As it stands just seven players remain with British play Martins Adeniya leading the way, closely followed by PokerStrategist and all-around high stakes monster, Benny psychobenny Spindler.
Indeed there are not one, but TWO PokerStrategy.com members at the final table with Andre ganstarapper Klebanov still in the hunt for glory.
They will play down to a winner tonight, where one lucky man will walk away with the EPT title and £750,000 in cash. You can see yesterday's recap here and live updates can be found here. Good luck Benny and Andre!
High stakes corner
It’s been a quietish 24 hours at the high stakes tables, with British player "Kanu7" booking a solid win at the $25/$50 and $50/$100 NL tables to the tune of $81,983 according to HSDB.
Interestingly a thread has appeared on the HSDB forum intimating that Viktor Blom may be leaving PokerStars, hence his absence from the high stakes tables for over a month.
It seems likely that there’s no substance to these allegations but rumours have been fuelled by Blom’s prolonged absence.

ISPT update
This week the poker community has been discussing the prospect of the International Stadium Poker Tour (ISPT).
More information has been released on the official website over the past couple of days, and it seems the proposed mega tournament at Wembley Stadium may actually become a reality.
According to the official site, "the event will last for 5 consecutive days on dates comprised between August the 15th and October the 9th, 2012, the preferred period being the first weeks of September 2012".
Interestingly the ISPT plans to have "between 20,000 and 30,000" competitors at Wembley Stadium all competing online on "dedicated software and using electronic pads" from their seats.
The final 3,000 players will be seated at real tables and play down to the final table where the winner will take home $10 million.
