WPT Legends down to 18

Yesterday's "WPT one to watch" Jason Koon certainly lived up to his moniker as he was the player who signalled the end of the third day.

Having started the day third in chips, the American put in a strong performance but eventually lost his momentum and finished in 19th place.

After heading to the cashiers' desk to collect his $13,400 prize money, the rest of the players bagged and tagged their chips ready for the penultimate day of play.

Heading the pack going at the end of the session was Cyrus Farzad with 2,600,000.

Farzad's quest for his first WPT title will be a tough one though as the likes of Greg Mueller, Jeff Madsen, Max Steinberg and Ali Eslami are still in the hunt for the $500,000 first place prize.

Trickett joins ISPT

The International Stadiums Poker Tour has added yet another well known pro to its growing list of ambassadors.

After signing Michael Mizrachi as their first representative, the ISPT then acquired another recognisable partner in the form of the UK's APAT.

Continuing the theme of acquiring high profile players, Sam Trickett has now lent his support to the tournament which is set to take place from May 31st, 2013.

The association will see Trickett representing the brand across the world in various tournaments, as well as feature in the main event where he'll be looking to add to his current total of $16,471,099 in prize money.

Shortly after the announcement, Sam tweeted: "I just want to announce that I will be an @ispt_poker official ambassador. Will be one of the biggest tournaments ever held May 31, 2013."

Negreanu's cameo

It seems that Daniel Negreanu's rants aren't the only time he's been spending in front of the camera recently.

In addition to filming a small segment with PokerStars' newest pro, Gerry Dee, Daniel has also enjoyed a movie role.

Playing Brandon Czeczouceau, Daniel makes a brief appearance in the apocalyptic, horror and comedy, Detention.

Holding a coffee and putting on an interesting accent, Daniel's performance might not be worthy of an Oscar but it's certainly one of the less embarrassing TV or film cameos by a poker player.

High stakes corner

An interesting high stakes prop bet may be in the making after David "viffer" Peat challenged Matt "ADZ124" Marafioti.

After defending himself from allegations that he and Samar Rahman plotted to hack various player's computers in order to gain an advantage, Marafioti defied anyone to prove that he was guilty.

While it appeared as though the issue had been dropped, most likely because Marafioti was involved in yet another incident at the WPT Legends event, Peat seems to have reignited the flame.

In a post yesterday, Peat wrote: "I'll put up 50k I can convince 3 respected high stakes poker players ( or anyone with half a brain ) those chat logs are real, if I lose you get 50k if I win I get 25k yeah ill lay 2-1 just to gamble."

Although Marafioti supposedly doesn't visit 2+2 anymore, Peat took the time to direct him there via a tweet.

Whether or not Marafioti will accept the bet remains to be seen, but if Peat is willing to lay those sort of odds it seems like he has some strong inside information.
