Daniel Cates loses $5 million in Manila
Heavy losses for Jungleman last week, plus we have the latest in the Phil Ivey edge-sorting case.
The biggest online cash game winner of 2014 may need to work hard to repeat his success this year, as Daniel 'Jungleman' Cates lost big last week.
He is in Manila playing against the likes of Phil Ivey and Tom Dwan, and as you can see, it didn't go well:

It is not known whether he sold action for his $5 million in suggested losses. One (small) silver lining for Cates is that he won a High Roller tournament last night for roughly $100,000 (so only $4.9 million to go to break even).
Borgata response to Ivey
The on-going edge-sorting saga between Phil Ivey and the Borgata casino took another turn last week.
Ivey made a $10 million countersuit against them last month, saying that they destroyed the Gemaco cards they used in his $9.6 million win against them.
The casino has now responded by saying that they only destroyed the cards as part of their 'routine business practices' and before they knew of Ivey's alleged cheating.
Biggest winners & losers in August so far
Elsewhere at the online felt the high stakes games are starting to take shape at PokerStars, with 'Yoghii' the biggest winner so far in August, and last month's biggest winner Viktor Blom one of the players currently nursing six-figure losses.
