Day 2A goes to Brian Schaedlich

The US American Brian Schaedlich finished Day 2A with an impressive chip lead. With 801,000 chips he has more than twice as many as his closest pursuer Hunter Frey.

The 22-year old elementary school teacher started the tournament day as runner-up in chips. From this he worked hard for an impressive chip lead. With 801,000 chips he is ahead of Hunter Frey, the runner-up in the chip count with 397,000 chips.
Schaedlich commented on his chip lead after the tourney day as follows: "I was playing pretty tight, but there were spots of aggression. I
wasn't afraid to go for some of the draws and I wasn't afraid to
re-raise people."

Martin Kläser
Martin Kläser already had to leave the tournament after faling victim to Schaedlich. On the flop of Kläser bet 9,000 on top of the 10,000 in the pot. Schaedlich raised to 26,000, and Kläser called. The turn came with the , Kläser check-raised Schaedlich all-in, who called. The German flipped over for the top pair, but Schaedlich showed for two pair and was in front with 86%. The river card was the , and for Kläser it was the last tournament day of this year's WSOP.

The lovely law student at the University of Miami had an unlucky finish for the day when she called the 10,000 bet from an opponent in the small blind on the flop of . The turn card was the , the small blind checked to Rousso who fired a 12,000 bet. Her opponent called. The river brought the , the small blind checked and Rousso pondered for a bit before checking behind. Her opponent flipped over and Rousso shrieked in despair at not betting the river! She will now only return with 28,000 chips into Day 3.
