EPT London Day 3: UK Players Take Over
Day 3 of the PokerStars EPT London brought the tournament into the money. 62 players remain, and the three top chip stacks belong to players from the UK.

Just 62 of the 159 players who reached Day 3 of the PokerStars EPT London will return for Day 4 today. The top 104 players made the money and earned at least £7,500 for their efforts. All players who are still alive heading into Day 4 will take home at least £11,000, but no one will leave this event completely satisfied unless they take home the £750,000 first place.
Considering this tournament takes place in London, the UK was somewhat poorly represented in chip counts at the beginning of Day 3. Just 1 of the top 10 chip leaders, Martins Adeniya in 4th place, was from the UK. That statistic drastically changed today, as 5 of the top 10 stacks now belong to players from the UK.
Three of those UK players, in fact, possess the top 3 stacks in the tournament. James Mitchell is the chip leader with 1,071,500 chips, and he is followed by Sam Macdonald with 860,000 and Martins Adeniya with 786,800.
PokerStrategist Benny 'psychobenny' Spindler made a big splash to start this tournament by finishing both Day 1b and Day 2 with the chip lead. Although he's no longer one of the biggest stacks, he's still doing very well. He will enter Day 4 in 12th place with 570,000 chips.
A few other noteworthy players in the top half of the remaining field are Steven Kelly (17th), Marvin Rettenmaier (22nd), Sebastian Blom (23rd), and Roberto Romanello (29th).
Some of the most notable casualties today include Doyle Brunson, Sebastian Ruthenberg, Brian Hastings, and Jason Mercier.
62 players will return today for Day 4, with the plan of playing down to 24.
