EPT Sanremo Day 4: Jason Tompkins Leads Final 24 Players
At the conclusion of Day 4 of the PokerStars EPT Sanremo, just 24 players remained. Among them are Ludovic Lacay, Yevgeniy Timoshenko, and Matt Salsberg.

What happened on Day 4?
A new leader - Although Inge Forsmo was in first place at the end of both Day 2 and Day 3 of the EPT Sanremo, he couldn't quite hang onto his lead on Day 4. He still had a great showing, however, and finished in 2nd with 2,025,000 chips.
The top spot was taken by Jason Tompkins, an Irish player with over $400,000 in live tournament cashes including a final table at this year's WSOP. He'll bring 2,423,000 chips and high hopes of a second major tournament final table - or his first win - with him to Day 5.
Noteworthy pros - A few of the remaining players in this event stand out from the rest of the field for their previous tournament achievements. The first is French pro Ludovic Lacay, who is currently in 3rd place with 1,731,000 chips. Lacay has reached final tables at WSOP, WPT, and EPT events in his career, but he's still searching for his first major victory.
Currently in 12th place is recent WPT Paris champion Matt Salsberg. In 18th place is Yevgeniy Timoshenko, a Ukrainian-American pro with over $4.4 million in lifetime tournament earnings. Although he seems to crush everything he plays, Yevgeniy is still looking for his first EPT Main Event final table.
The tournament will continue at 14:00 CET on Wednesday, and the field will play down to an 8-handed final table.
