EPT Season 6: The Ruble Is On

In August, the sixth season of the EPT, the largest and most
successful tour in the world, begins. It will act on a clear maxim: everything is going to be bigger, better and even more
spectacular.

For the first time in the history of the tour, it is not Barcelona where the action starts.
Instead, the field will gather in the Russian capital from Aug 18-23.

In the "trial run RPT Moscow", Russia showed a lot of potential. Hence, the decision to give it a shot to move the location further eastwards.
However, playing Poker in Barcelona is still possible. From Sep 4-9, the Catalan capital will be the second stop of the tour,
traditionally serving as one of the major EPT events scheduled.

With
the new stop in Russia, a new currency is introduced to the EPT. The buy-in for the EPT Moscow comes at a price tag of
200,000 + 12,000 ruble, which equals approximately €5,000. From the
previous event, the RPT Moscow, 206 players submitted their entry fee. Thanks to the good reputation of the EPT and several local
pro appearances, people can look forward to the biggest poker
tournament in Russian history.

At PokerStars, you have the chance to qualify for this event,
sacrificing only $2.22 or 111FPP. If you have already gained the
Platinum Star or an even higher status, you can also use your W$ as buy-in for
the EPT Event.

Being the largest and most successful tour ever, last year's EPT
even capped the WPT as former branch leader. In the said event, 7,980
players from 97 nations generated a gigantic pool of almost €55
million. The EPT Grand Final in Monte Carlo, with its 935
participants and a €9.35 million pool was the biggest
tournament ever to be played on European ground.

The new season aims at being bigger, better and more spectacular.

"Even though we could guarantee extraordinarily high standards last
year, we will try to make things even better this year – with the help
of more events, a more versatile offer of poker variants, and a buy-in
range that will inevitably appeal to a larger number of contestants," was what John Duthie (picture on the right), CEO of the PokerStars.com EPT, said about the new season.

Besides Moscow, Portugal will be on schedule for the first time in the
history of the EPT as well. From Nov 17-22, one can partake in Portugal's biggest poker tournament with up
to 600 players – given one can afford the €5,000 buy-in.
