Fedor Holz wins back to back super high rollers
Fresh from his Alpha8 Vegas triumph, CrownUpGuy takes the Cali Cup for $3,463,000, almost doubling his career earnings in the past three weeks.
Less than a month after winning the WPT Alpha8 for almost $1.6 million, Fedor "crownupguy" Holz carried his remarkable 2015 form into the new year by claiming the $3,463,000 in Monday's Cali Cup in Manilla, meaning he has won nearly $5m in less than a month.
PokerStrategy.com member, Holz emerged victorious from a field of 52, all fighting for a piece of the $10m plus prize pool, to claim the pot and almost eclipse the $3.8 million in live tournament earnings compiled so far in the 22 year old's young career.
70 percent of the chips
Play took place over two days and Phil Ivey was leading at the conclusion of day one before sinking to fifth on the Monday while crownupguy made it through to the heads-up culmination with David Peters.
Just as it had been in Vegas three weeks earlier, Holz, with seventy percent of the chips, had a near double chip lead by the time he faced off against his American rival, who was seen off in four hands.

Ambition
The ambitious crownupguy once claimed his plan was to win $5m before his 22nd birthday and, while he may have narrowly missed out on that marker, the young German's latest prestigious win, taking his earnings to $7.2m, will help cement his position as one of the top names to look out for as the new year progresses.
Next up for the young poker prodigy is the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure, which starts tomorrow, and the Aussie Millions later in the month.
