GGMasters overlays by $768,628

Few tournaments set out to get an overlay, but the GGMasters Overlay Edition has done just that, yet again.

This year 66,894 players entered the $150 freezeout, but that wasn't enough to miss the $10 million guarantee. In total an overlay of $768,628 was incurred. However, if you don't remove the rake, the event collected $10,034,100.

This might sound like there is no overlay, but if you are a shrewd satellite grinder you may have noticed that almost every satellite overlaid by staggering amounts, so it is likely this event still cost GGPoker heaps. 

Last year this event overlaid by $1,082,164. 

The event has now been paused as we have reached a final table of nine players. All of them are guaranteed at least $71,570 but they will be playing for a staggering $806,081 first prize this evening. Not bad for a $150 investment.
