GGPoker announce the WSOP schedule
The biggest tournament in online poker history and the smallest buy-in bracelet event in WSOP history feature in the GGPoker World Series of Poker schedule.
In one of the big surprises of the poker year, GGPoker were unveiled as the host of 54 WSOP bracelet events, and today they announced the eagerly awaited schedule.
The stand out has to be the $5,000 WSOP Main Event on September 5. While it may be half the buy in of the usual Main Event, with a $25 million guarantee it would be the biggest prize pool for a single tournament in online poker history.
At the other end of the spectrum there are $50 and $100 events (both with seven-figure guarantees), which would be the smallest buy-ins for a bracelet event in WSOP history.
All times in the schedule below are GMT, but 11 events are at Asian friendly times to embrace the huge Asian following GGPoker has.
One notable difference between this series and the live WSOP festival is that all the events are Hold'em, Short Deck or PLO. Even the 'Players Championship' is in No Limit Hold'em.
Also as was confirmed earlier this week, the final tables would be played with real names.
