High Stakes Action: Sweet September for Brian Hastings
Hastings kicked off the month of September with a bang as he has already picked up $788k in the first few days of action. At the other end of the spectrum, Ziigmund has taken a beating and is down by $643k.
The Labour Day weekend over in the United States generated plenty of action at the nosebleed stakes tables on Full Tilt Poker. Besides Hastings and Ziigmund who are in first place at either end of the high stakes leaderboard several other regulars have also been active in September.
The ones who are up so far include Cole South ($328k), Di "Urindanger" Dang ($317k) and Daniel "jungleman12" Cates ($201k). Meanwhile, joining Ziigmund among the big losers are Patrik Antonius (-$325k), Phil Ivey (-$253k) and Full Tilt Poker's latest pro Andreas "Skjervoy" Torbergsen (-$271k).

Phil Ivey nears $20 million milestone
Phil Ivey nears $20 million milestoneIn a more positive development for Ivey (pictured right), HighstakesDB.com's rankings have him just several buy-ins away from $20 million in lifetime winnings over at Full Tilt Poker since 2007.
However, since they have only started tracking the games outside No Limit Hold'em and Pot Limit Omaha recently, Ivey's lifetime online winnings are most probably well over $20 million already.
In contrast, Patrik Antonius has $9.8 million in winnings, Phil "OMGClayAiken" Galfond has $8.8 million in winnings, Tom "durrrr" Dwan is at $5 million and Brian Hastings has $4.7 million.
However, Antonius reportedly has millions more stashed away in online winnings on several other poker sites from his pre-Full Tilt Poker days. By most estimates, he is still ahead of Ivey in terms of lifetime online winnings.
