Jack Hinchey wins the WPC
The Canadian Jack Hinchey won the 888.com World Poker Crown event in Barcelona and earned $1,000,000. Mark Rößler was the only German at the final table. Probably many will rather know him as MrBurnz.
The ten finalists of the initially online tournament met Thursday in Barcelona to determine the winner of the World Poker Crown event. The final table of the last Eight was then streamed live online. Among them was also Mark Rößler, aka "MrBurnz". However, he was beaten early and finished seventh for $60,000.
The winner Jack Hinchey already came to the final table with a clear chip lead. With about 350,000 in chips he already had roughly 140,000 more than his immediate follower, Michael Lawson from Canada, who also finished second in the end. Mark on the other hand only started with 58,000 in chips.
At the start of the heads-up, Hinchey already went clear to the top. With a lead of 908,000 in chips to 200,000 for Lawson, he could exert some serious pressure. Lawson managed to double up early on, but he could never put his fellow countryman's win in jeopardy.
