Josh Arieh wins 5th WSOP bracelet

The 2021 Player of the Year captures his second Limit Hold'em bracelet, his third in three years, 5th overall.

There are too many bracelet winners to report on all of them at the World Series of Poker, but when a former WSOP Player of the Year wins his 5th one, it's certainly worth a mention. 

2021 Player of the Year and Poker Stake boss Josh Arieh has just won his 5th bracelet in the $10,000 Limit Hold'em Championship. 

He defeated a tough final table that included former champion Joe McKeehen and Nick Schulman, to take down his 5th bracelet for $316,226. 

This is his second bracelet in Limit Hold'em having first won one in 1999. He also has two bracelets in PLO and one in PLO8.

Speaking to PokerNews after the win, he reflected on his chances of being nominated or inducted into the Poker Hall of Fame:

"So this is just another step that will give me a chance to maybe be inducted in to the Hall of Fame. Poker players were looked at as these backroom hustlers. Like, oh, you're a poker player, you're a bad person. You gamble for a living; how do you do that? I've said it before; it just gives it a little validity. And to be thought about, the names of people that are one, it would just be insane. "

Also winning his 5th career bracelet last week was Brian Yoon, who captured the $10,000 Seven Card Stud Championship for $311,433.
