KidPoker lays out 2017 poker goals

Daniel Negreanu has stated his aims for 2017 and they include some very interesting targets, including winning three WSOP bracelets.

Just as he has done in the past, Daniel "KidPoker" Negreanu last week used his Full Contact Poker blog to lay out his plans and goals for the new year, while reflecting on his 2016 targets.

Accepting that all but one of last year’s goals was missed, Negreanu has whittled down his proposals to eight exciting new ones, with the focus firmly on quality over quantity.

With that in mind, he has gone all-in with plans which are extremely ambitious even for one of the greatest players of all time. Last year, the only goal he made was to move into third place on the WSOP all-time cashes list and, just five days after posting his blog, he busted in the PokerStars Championship Bahamas Main Event, and will not be making an appearance at this year's Aussie Millions.

Despite this, he aims to finish the year topping the all-time money list as well as recording an interview with Phil Ivey that you won’t find anywhere else, as he pushes to raise his poker content.

But perhaps the most ambitious of his plans is to take home three bracelets at this summer’s WSOP on his way to making the November Nine.

  • Cash for $2.5 million
  • Win 3 WSOP bracelets
  • Cross the 100 cashes mark at WSOP
  • End the year #1 on the All-Time Money List
  • Win WSOP Player of the Year for the 3rd Time 
  • Make the November Nine
  • Win $250,000 playing cash games
  • Produce more content for poker fans.
