Matt Keikoan wins Event 7

The winner of the $2,000 No Limit Hold'em Event is Matt Keikoan. In a heads-up of 68 hands he prevailed over Shannon Shorr and secured a prize money of $550,601.

Keikoan left behind 1,591 further players. He entered the finale of the last two as the chip leader and never relinquished this title either over the course of the heads-up.

In the decisive hand Shannon Shorr pushed all-in pre-flop with , Keikoan called with and was a 60% favourite on the title. The board came up with
and put him in even further the lead with over 90%. Shorr could only hope for a wonder which didn't happen though as turn and river changed nothing, and Matt Keikoan won his first bracelet.

Theo Tran finished fourth

The chip leader of the initial final table, Theo Tran, was for most spectators the favourite. He had dominated the previous days and for many it was justified that he had the most chips when the day started. Tran was able to defend his chip lead for quite some time, but later in the tournament he was faced with increasing pressure.

In his last hand he ran with into Carter Gill's . The flop didn't come up with one of the two remaining sevens in the deck and the other community cards didn't help Tran either, and thus he was eliminated as fourth.
