Michael Mizrachi in Final 4 of WSOPE Event #5
Two WSOPE Events have reached their final few players. Event #5 is down to 4, and Event #6 is down to 6. Both will reach a winner today, and the WSOPE Main Event will begin.

Friday at the WSOPE in Cannes, France was a fairly quiet day. Just two events took place, and neither reached a winner. That said, it did set the stage for today, when two bracelets will be won and the Main Event will begin.
Day 3 of Event #5, the €10,400 NLHE Split Format event, began with 16 players and played a series of heads-up matches until just 4 remained.
The best-known player who reached the final four is Michael Mizrachi, who sits in 2nd place with 1,136,000 chips. Mizrachi will look for his 2nd WSOP bracelet today, and whatever he wins will add on to an already astonishing $11.4 million in career live tournament earnings.
Mizrachi will be playing the chip leader, Roger Hairabedian in the semi-final round. The winner of that match will enter the finals with a significant chip advantage over the winner of Noah Schwartz and Shawn Buchanan. See the table below for how the 16-player bracket has played out.
Several of poker's biggest stars busted in the money of this tournament, including Brian Hastings, Jason Mercier, Matt Waxman, and Erik Seidel.
Event #6 - €1,620 6-Max PLO
Event #6 played from 36 players down to a 6-handed final table yesterday.
The current leader is Nicolas Fierro with 349,000 chips, and the most noteworthy player at the final table is Alexander Dovzhenko who sits in 5th place with 245,000.
Some of the bustouts from yesterday's play include Bryan Devonshire, Victor Ramdin, Alexander Kostritsyn, Carlos Mortensen, and Roberto Romanello.
