Scott Seiver Wins PCA Super High Roller, Main Event Day 1A Begins
320 players entered day 1A of the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure Main Event, while Scott Seiver defeated a final table which included PokerStrategist Phillip Gruissem to win the $100,000 Super High Roller.

The main event of the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure got underway last night, but elsewhere in the Bahamas there was the small matter of the $100,000 Super High Roller event.
It attracted a respectable field of 59, which consisted of some of the biggest names in poker including Jason Mercier, Antonio Esfandiari, Tobias 'pokernoob' Reinkemeier, ElkY, Vanessa Selbst, Tom Dwan, Phil Ivey and Daniel Negreanu.
They all would have to step aside for WPT and WSOP winner Scott Seiver, who defeated David Sands heads up for the title and the $2 million first prize.
Also making the money was PokerStrategist
philgruissem, who came 5th for $400,700.

The $10,000 Main Event got under way for the 10th year running yesterday, with 320 hopefuls playing Day 1A.
This was a significant decrease on last year's 418 for Day 1A, but the Super High Roller and the first ever Open Face Chinese Poker events taking place the same day perhaps explained the lull.
Day 1B is expected to be massive and should bring the total attendance much closer to last year's total of 1,072.
The top dog of the 162 survivors was Maxim Lobzhanidze of Italy, who will be coming back on Day 2 with 248,900 chips.
Some of the notables coming back for Day 2 include Scott Clements, Chris Moorman, Luca Pagano, Boris Becker, Manig 'swordfish007' Loeser, Justin Bonomo, Joe Cada and Andrew Lichtenberger.
