Spin & Go Flash launches at PokerStars
You start with 300 chips and one minute levels, will this even faster version of Spin & Go be a hit?
As we speculated last week a faster version of Spin & Go hit the PokerStars client over the weekend. Spin & Go Flash is now available in most regions.
It remains a three handed Lottery SNG format with the same rake and multipliers as before. However, players start with 300 chips (instead of 500) and levels are one minute long (instead of three).
It is essentially a shove or fold version of Spin & Go where games are usually over in a couple of minutes. This new format is similar to the recently introduced Expresso Nitro from Winamax, which has proved popular.
The buy-ins remain the same as the regular Spin & Go games at PokerStars with the exception of the limited period special Spin & Go tournaments. The $5 and $40 Spin & Go's with seven-figure top multipliers are not available in Flash, nor are the satellite Spin & Go's where the top prizes are tickets to big MTTs.
The Spin & Go lobby has been streamlined by having a regular 'Play Now' button for normal Spins and a 'Play Flash' button for the faster variant. This goes against previous new Spin & Go formats like PLO Spins and Spin & Go Max where a separate tab for those games was available.
The fast convenient nature of Spin & Go is one of the reasons why this format has become so popular. Given Expresso Nitro has been a hit for Winamax, this new faster Spin & Go also seems poised to be popular. The question will be how much traffic does this take from regular Spins, which have already become tremendously popular in the last five years.
