Professional poker player Mike Noori accepts bet that means he must eat $1,000 worth of McDonald's food in just 36 hours.

WPT Director Matt Savage recently challenged poker pro Mike Noori to one of the game’s stranger wagers.

Just over a month after prop bet enthusiast Bill Perkins’ weight based bet with the Staples brothers was announced, Savage has laid odds of 5/1 that Noori cannot eat $1,000 worth of fast food from chain restaurant McDonalds - all inside of 36 hours!

Rules and stipulations

Further stipulations mean that $300 has to be spent on hot food, $50 of which must go towards burgers. Extra sides can be ordered, such as bacon and supersized meal options, but as far as consumption goes, food processors are forbidden.

As for salads, purchases are capped at $200 and under no circumstances can food be removed from any orders, meat or otherwise. Noori is able to purchase drinks but any money spent on beverages does not count towards the bet and the player must be accompanied by an impartial observer at all meal times.

In the extremely likely event that Noori throws up, it cannot be forced and specialist branches with overpriced menu items, i.e. those at airports etc, cannot contribute to the $1000 total required. Finally, the bill will lie fully with Noori in the event of a fail. However, should he win the bet, his prize is to foot just half of the cost.

For his part, Noori has revealed that he plans to approach the bet, which runs from midday May 19 and midnight May 21, by ordering mainly fruit bags.
