Ted Forrest: "Matusow still owes me over $1.7m"
Four years after their famous weight loss bet, Matusow still hasn't paid his dues.
Six-time WSOP bracelet winner Ted Forrest has revealed on Twitter that his friend and fellow 2014 Poker Hall of Fame nominee Mike Matusow is yet to pay him for winning their famous weight loss bet, which concluded way back in 2010.

The two had originally agreed the wager over dinner at the Commerce Casino. Forrest said he'd "felt fat" after the big meal and wasn't happy weighing as much as 188 pounds, so to provide some additional motivation for his endeavour, he decided to bet Matusow $100,000 at 18/1 that he could lose 48 pounds in just 3 months.
As we all know, Forrest miraculously managed to shed the weight with a rigorous diet and training schedule, which left "The Mouth" reeling in a seven-figure hole.
"I only made that bet because I didn't think it was feasibly possible," he later said to ESPN. "He starved himself for 11 days and ran 16 miles a day. He's lost all of the muscle around his heart. He could have a heart attack."
$5,000 a month for 18 years
To Forrest's credit, when Matusow admitted that he would need time to pay it all back, he agreed to a long-term plan that would see Matusow make payments in $5,000 increments for the next 18 years. At least that was what he was told would happen:
"All that for $5,000 a month. He'll get paid all of it, but he tried to kill himself for $5,000 a month," said Matusow.
The matter was then closed and withdrawn from the public eye, until now when Forrest decided it was time to reveal the truth.
