Norwegian police raid five poker clubs

In slightly more serious news, Norwegian poker fans were shocked on Friday when the police carried out five simultaneous raids on poker clubs. 

Fish Club, Quads, Akerselva Club, Sentralen, and Norwegian Poker Team were all raided at the same time in a coordinated operation. Under Norwegian lottery law it is not illegal to host private poker parties but it is to profit from them as a business owner, this is why the Norwegian Poker Championships has for a long time been held in other countries like the UK and Ireland. 

Five people were arrested as a result of the raids. The Norwegian Government believes that criminal gangs were helping keep the clubs under the radar. 

Polk the poker politician?

He crushed poker, then he crushed poker YouTube, then he crushed crypto YouTube, he even crushed poker rap cat videos, so what is next for Doug Polk?

Politics may be the next big thing on his agenda as he hinted last week that he would be following in the footsteps of Tony G and one day entering politics:

I have tried to avoid taking stances on political issues because it's not optimal for growth. However one day I am going to enter politics and I want people to know my views

I also respect opposing viewpoints, and I think we all at heart want what's best for our countries
