Tristan 'Cre8ive' Wade Wins WSOPE Event #4, Amazing Players Alive in Event #5
The first week of the World Series of Poker Europe has concluded with Tristan 'Cre8ive' Wade winning his first WSOP bracelet by shipping Event #4. In Event #5, the 16 players remaining in the field include Erik Seidel, Jason Mercier, Michael Mizrachi, and Brian Hastings.

Tristan 'Cre8ive' Wade has won WSOPE Event #4, defeating a field of 258 players and likely the toughest final table of the WSOPE so far. For his victory, he'll take home €182,048 and his first WSOP bracelet.
The runner-up in the tournament was Canadian poker pro Mike 'SirWatts' Watson. Watson's 2nd place finish was worth €112,526 and will bring his career live tournament earnings to over $3 million.
Several other excellent players also reached this final table. Richard Toth finished in 3rd place for €84,016, Bertrand 'ElkY' Grospellier finished in 5th for €47,763, Steve O'Dwyer finished in 6th for €36,357, and James Dempsey finished in 9th for €16,637.
Event #5 & Event #6
This WSOPE is full of interesting tournament structures, and Event #5, the €10,400 NLHE Split Format event, is by far the greatest example of that.
Day 1 of the tournament was played 9-handed. 72 players returned to play 6-handed on Day 2, and 16 of them finished the day with chips. Those 16 players will return today... to play heads-up.
The remaining players will take their chip stacks with them to play in a full heads-up bracket until a winner is determined. Today, the final four players will be reached.
The 16 individuals who still have chips include Erik Seidel (2nd), Jason Mercier (5th), Matt Waxman (6th), Michael Mizrachi (7th), Dan Fleyshman (10th), Shawn Buchanan (11th), Brian Hastings (12th), and Bryn Kenny (15th).
Event #6 began yesterday and the overwhelming majority of entrants busted on the first day of play. The event is a €1,620 buy-in PLO 6-max tournament. 339 players entered, and just 36 remained after Day 1.
Of the 36, the most noteworthy players with big stacks are Victor Ramdin (4th), Bryan Devonshire (7th), and Carlos Mortensen (13th).
