Vanessa Selbst makes cameo on Billions

The poker legend turned hedge fund strategist was spotted this week on Brian Koppleman's hit show.

Nobody truly retires from poker; even when they haven't been at the felt for a long time, they are still very much poker players. 

So this week, when Vanessa Selbst made an acting cameo on the hit show Billions, poker players stood up and took notice. 

In the scene, she is seen in the back room of a casino, analysing the main characters' mindsets as they play various table games, including poker. 

Billions is the long-running TV show from Rounders creator Brian Koppleman, which has previously had a poker-themed episode that featured Phil Hellmuth playing himself. Koppleman has a long-standing previous friendship with Selbst, who has appeared on his podcast The Moment. 

Billions is in its final season, and poker fans will appreciate this slight nod to Koppleman's previous poker involvement.
