WPT Marrakesh: Final Table Set, PokerStrategist Ace0nTheRiver Second
Ace0nTheRiver rushed from Barcelona to Marrakesh to sign up for the WPT Marrakesh €4,250 + €750 Main Event. After completing Day 2, the event is down to its final 9 and Ace0ntheRiver is just five big blinds shy of having the chip lead.
The WPT Marrakesh Main Event started 3 days ago and saw 222 players buying in for a seat at €5,000 each. They generated a total prize pool of over €940,000 and €254,745 will be going to the winner. The top 27 finishers made it into the money and were paid at least €9,434.
Besides ace0ntheriver (pictured right) who is the only PokerStrategist left now, Team PokerStrategy.com members 
ScHnibL0r and Thorsten77 also made the trip to Marrakesh. Unfortunately, both of them busted in Day 1B and were forced to join big names like ElkY, David Benyamine, Ludovic Lacay and Carlos Mortensen on the rails.
Consecutive deep runs for Ace0nTheRiver
Before having any time for a break after his deep run in the EPT Barcelona Main Event, Ace0nTheRiver signed up for the next available tournament and it looks like his hard work is set to pay off in a big way. He was looking good for a final table seat in Barcelona, but only managed a 19th place finish.
This time around however, he made it into the final table. He will start with just five big blinds behind the chip leader Sebastian Homann, and over 40 big blinds ahead of third placed Guilliame Cescut. Halfway through Day 2, things had looked bleak for Ace0nTheRiver as he was down to his last 5,000 chips, however, the poker gods had other plans for him.
The cards fell nicely after that, and he doubled his way back to 200,000 chips. At the end of the day,he even found himself among the leaders after a few more big hands. A good example of his day was when he cracked Phu Truong's 
with 
. Phu looking good for a double up with the board showing 
, but the 
on the river sent Phu out in 11th place.
