WSOP 2010: PokerStrategists Near The Money in Event #24
RobbieV was the only Team PokerStrategy.com member and one of 1,358 entrants playing in Day 1B of Event #24. Unfortunately, he will not be joining Tonding and akia in Day 2.

RobbieV played in Day 1B of the $1,000 No Limit Hold'em event. He was the only PokerStrategist in action today, as seven others played in Day 1A, one day earlier.
A total of 3,289 entries were received for this event, generating a prize pool of $2,960,100. The top 342 players will be paid, and the winner is set to earn just over half a million dollars.
507 players remain, but with the average starting chip stacks at around 33 big blinds, it shouldn't take too long for the money bubble to be burst. Play will resume with the blinds of 300/600 and an ante of 75.

Tonding and akia close in on their first WSOP cashes
tonding and akia (pictured right) are the two PokerStrategists who will be competing for their first ever cashes in the World Series of Poker. They are both currently in the middle of the pack with 14,625 and 20,900 chips respectively.
Some of the other notable players who are still in the event include Arnaud Mattern (39,950), Tom "durrrr" Dwan (37,525), and Liv Boeree (22,400). Others like Paul Wasicka, Brandon Cantu and Andrew Feldman all hit the rails on Day 1B.
Besides this event, players also hit the felt in a few other events. A total of four bracelets were awarded with John Barch ($256,919) taking the $1,500 Pot Limit Omaha event, Richard Ashby ($140,467) winning the $1,500 Seven Card Stud event, Vanessa Hellebuyck ($192,132) taking the $1,000 Ladies No Limit Hold'em Championship and Dutch Boyd ($234,065) the winner in the $2,500 Limit Hold'em 6-max event.
