WSOP APAC: Daniel Negreanu Wins His Fifth Bracelet
After the demise of Benny Spindler, Daniel Negreanu cruised to victory and another bracelet in the inaugural WSOP APAC Main Event.

Despite starting the final session with the chip lead, PokerStrategist Benny 'psychobenny' Spindler couldn't find a way to win the inaugural WSOP APAC Main Event. Playing his typically aggressive brand of poker, Spindler pushed the action from the start, however, he fell victim to a tough run of cards. Needing to double his stack, Spindler finally moved all-in with 
, but couldn't find a way past the 
of Khale Burns.
With Spindler out in sixth, Daniel Negreanu was able to exercise his experience over the surviving five players. Indeed, buoyed by the luxury of the chip lead, Daniel was able to pick his moments to strike. After eliminating Burns with 
, Negreanu had total control of the field and, by the time the tournament reached its final stages, he was able to best Daniel Marton with ease.
Having a 10-1 chip lead at the start of heads-up play, Daniel eventually claimed the WSOP APAC Main Event title, and his fifth bracelet, when his pocket deuces held on against the A-7 of Marton.
