What does PokerStars do with your money?

PokerStars has released the first two episodes of a new video series aimed at giving its customers a closer look at the company.

PokerStars has just released a new video series titled "Inside PokerStars", which seeks to answer some of the most frequently asked questions from customers about how the site operates by taking the queries to members of staff themselves.

In the first episode of the series, EPT Live commentator James Hartigan sits down with Head of Corporate Communications Eric Hollreiser for a short interview. Their discussion aims to answer the general question, "what kind of company is PokerStars?"

"We are recognised as one of the best and one of the biggest gaming companies in the world and it's a reputation that we take very seriously, and something that we want to strive to improve upon", says Hollreiser. We'll be pushing ourselves and the industry forward in the future."

UK Gambling Act delayed

In related news, earlier this week we reported that PokerStars would be changing its services to UK based customers on Wednesday, October 01, but the new Gambling Act that was pushing the alterations through has now been postponed for one month.

The act's sudden halt in progress is down to a last minute appeal from the Gibraltar Betting and Gaming Association (GBGA), which claims that the new legislation is "unlawful, illegitimate and disproportionate."

British players are also unsatisfied with the changes being imposed, and even started a petition to protest against the prohibition of the auto rebuy option.

However, it remains a popular opinion among analysts that the GBGA's appeal will not be heard, and that the Gambling Act will come into effect on Saturday, November 01.
