Hey allemaal,

Mikko, onze nieuwe CM

Graag willen we onze nieuwe Community Manager even aan jullie voorstellen: Mikko Miettinen, die voorheen de Finse en Zweedse communities onder zich had.

Vanaf nu zal hij de Zweedse, Bulgaarse en Nederlandse communities onder zijn hoede nemen.

In ons nieuws kun je lezen dat Lanfear81 (René) een stapje terug doet, vanwege een nieuwe rol die hij binnen PokerStrategy.com krijgt. Voor meer informatie hierover en om René te bedanken voor zijn inzet voor onze community, kun je deze forumthread gebruiken:

AMA: Ask Mikko Anything

From this point onwards we will keep this thread in English. Why? Well, for two reasons: first of all, I know you guys are all really good English speakers, so this shouldn't be a problem for you :). Secondly, Mikko is not (yet! :coolface: ) able to speak Dutch and therefore he wouldn't understand what we're saying.

Please use this thread for two purposes:

1. To welcome Mikko in our community

2. To ask Mikko anything you like! Mikko has agreed to an "Ask Me Anything", so this should be fun! :D

@ Mikko: Welcome in our community and best of luck answering all the difficult questions you're about to face!

Hi Yoghi,

I suppose I could have. We wanted to have the opening in Dutch though to go with the news.

Besides I felt shy just to show up and therefore I'm please Orodin did the main introduction for me. :)

Hi raymond20001,

As easy as it might seem unfortunately not. For legal reasons we need to have at least one person per community assigned to Gibraltar to perform operational tasks such as billing.

For the other roles like editorial, customers support, forum moderation etc. we luckily have a chance to have locally based staff who are increasingly important members in building the communities.

I would not mind being in the Netherlands or Belgium though. Great countries both of them. :)

oh and another (operational) thing: till what time can i contact you in the evening with respect to an operational issue?

Hi Rogier,

I think there are seven of us at the moment apart from those you just mentioned.

You can contact me anytime you see me on Skype (I can see you just added me). If I'm not available on that particular moment then we can agree on a different time to catch up.

Well, to be honest it is a bit. Google sometimes helps and when not then there are always our coaches and moderators who can help out.

Hopefully I'll pick up some Ducth on the way also. At least on reading level since pronunciation seems quite tricky to me. :)
