sorry for me writing in English but I don't know Portugese.
I will be spending a couple of month in your home country the next year. That's why I was wondering whether online poker is legal in Portugal. If so - do you have to pay taxes?

Yes online poker is legal in Portugal, and is becoming VERY popular here.
About taxes im not very sure, but i think anyone pay taxes from the poker income. Im not playing in "professional" level, but the small withdraws i have done i never had to pay nothing, just the routine taxes when passing money from moneybookers to bank account. I think that there is no real control from the state/finances.
Maybe someone knows better what is the legislation related to poker here.

I believe poker here is neither legal or illegal.
But everyone plays it and there are many poker pros making a living with online poker. So it will not cause you any problem and they can't collect taxes from you because of the legislation voidness.
The only thing that can cause you problems, and serious ones, is playing live games on public areas.
