We chat with Bertrand 'ElkY' Grospellier about prop bets, WCOOP and wanting to become the first double EPT champion.

PokerStrategy.com: What have you been doing since the WSOP?
ElkY: I've taken time off, traveling for vacations, this year I visited San Diego, Washington DC, East Timor, Singapore, Japan, Vietnam and Korea before getting back to EPT Barcelona for the start of the season 10!
PokerStrategy.com: Are you looking forward to the WCOOP?
ElkY: I really love the WCOOP because it's one of the rare times of the year where I can really focus on my online play day in and day out, and it also has the best online structures and prizepools.
PokerStrategy.com: What is your plan for WCOOP this year? Do you have any prop bets like last year?
ElkY: I plan on going to Montreal to play most of the WCOOPs, and of course my goal would be to add a 3rd title, but as I will attend the FPS Cannes, I'm forced to skip a few events towards the end, so it will be tough and unwise to make some prop bets because of that.

PokerStrategy.com: Which events are you looking forward to the most?
ElkY: Definitely the Main Event, High Roller and 8-game.
PokerStrategy.com: WCOOP is obviously the nearest thing online poker has to the WSOP, but in terms of the experience (structure/events/field) how comparable is it?
ElkY: I think it can be quite comparable, except it's so much better and easier to play multiple events a day, because it is on PokerStars.
PokerStrategy.com: Are you more motivated by challenge than money when it comes to events like WCOOP?
ElkY: Challenge and a love to better myself are definitely more motivating than money, although the latter one can't be bad either.

PokerStrategy.com: Having won the Triple Crown live, and having been a Supernova Elite online - what is the next big poker challenge for you?
ElkY: There are always new challenges arising for me, I think the most important one now would be to be the first EPT double winner, it would really mean the world to me.
PokerStrategy.com: As a prop bet expert, what do you think of the recent bathtub bet by Nick DiVella and the no sex bet by Antonio Esfandiari?
ElkY: I think any bet can be challenging in itself, but I also worry about the health issue and don't really wanna do anything that could harm me so I'm really unsure about how much I would need [To do something like that], but there is always a price I guess haha.
