Elephant Layout & Statistics
In this article we will show the layout of the Elephant statistics and explain the individual values.
If you blend in statistics onto the table using the expert layout it will look like this:

The values are freely configurable, yet in their standard form arranged in the following fashion:

When you export hands including statistics, to post on the forum, this is also the layout format they will be exported in.
Explanation of the statistics/abbreviations:
vp$ip - Voluntary put $ into pot:
BBvsSteal - foldet Big Blind to StealThe VPIP value tells you how often a player has voluntarily entered a pot - no matter whether he called or raised. A VPIP of 20 means that he has voluntarily invested money pre-flop 20% the time.
ORL - Open Raise Late Position:This value tells you the percentage of the time with which a player folds his big blind against a steal raise pre-flop. A steal is defined as an open raise from late position.
RaisePreflop - Preflop Raise:The ORL value tells you in % how often a player raises from late position when all players before him have folded. When these conditions are met one refers to such a raise as a 'steal'. The positions counted as late positions are the cutoff (CO) and the button (BU).
AF - Aggression Factor:This value indicates in % how often a player raises pre-flop.
W$SD - Won Dollar at Showdown:The aggression-factor is calculated by taking (Bets+ Raises) / Calls - with only the post-flop values being used for this calculation. Since the AF is also dependent on the VP$IP and WTS (see below) it is not possible to generalize whether a specific values means a player is aggressive or passive. If a player is very loose, for example, he will hit less hands on the flop and therefore also play these less aggressively than someone who only plays very few strong hands.
WTS - Went to Showdown:The W$SD tells how many percent of the showdowns a player has seen, he has won. This value can help you approximate how accurate the other values are. An extremely high W$SD could mean for example that a player only goes to the showdown when he is sure of holding the best hand. It could also mean however that the player has received a lot of good hands so far. This value can therefore be used to put other values into better perspective.
hands - Number of handsThe WTS tells you, how often a player has gone to the showdown, when he has seen the flop. Against a player with a very high WTS you should bluff less, since he will call with a lot of hands. A player with a low WTS is probably a better victim for semi-bluffs or pure-bluffs.
The layout of the statistics:This is how many hands of the player have been collected in the database. The more hands you have the more reliable and accurate the shown values are.
The statistics have been divided so that the pre-flop values are on the top and the post-flop values on the bottom. The values which are related are grouped together. The most important values have a slightly larger fontsize.
