BotD Season 3: Final Week Results
The sixth and final round of season 3 of the Battle of the Donkeys was completed on Sunday and here now are the results for that battle and the final overall championship standings.
The final event in season 3 of the Battle of the Donkeys (BotD) was a private tournament between members of the English and Spanish communities. Players once again went head to head with other community members in the battle for the last and all important championship medals and points.

Victory for Sweden in the Final Week of the Battle of the Donkeys
Team Sweden amassed 27 points, the same number as Spanish team Emisora to win Sundays tournament, 6 points clear of the next best team. It was only last week that Team Sweden won their first ever BotD medal, now this week they romped home with medals in all three scoring categories. Many congratulations to all the Team Sweden players on a terrific achievement.
Mod Squad were also looking good with 2 established BotD campaigners, 1seednoir1 and sirilidion running deep, but sadly both would fall just short of the final table as the blinds went skywards.
Team SoyCD were eager to do well on the night too, afterall the reigning English Community champions did not want to relinquish their title without a fight and they knew there were still sufficient points available to overhaul the lead held by new team We Minraize You, the Fixed Limit specialists.
Team SoyCd would eventually pick up 2 medals on the night with cardbender making it onto the final table for the second consecutive private tournament finishing 7th overall. Many congrats on a tremendous acheivement.
The English community honours on the night however were taken by Team Sweden player sidewalker who went on to finish a superb 3rd overall. Well played sidewalker.

Victory for Spanish Community and Team Colombianos
Having actually secured the title last week, Team Colombianos from the Spanish community won the overall championship with a consistent performance throughout the season. Their impressive run saw them take the title 54 points clear of previous Spanish champions GameOver and in doing so, helped to secure the bragging rights in the community challenge too.
The English Community applaud their fellow PokerStrategists on a great result and for the competitive yet friendly manner in which it was played.

We Minraize You! take the best English Team title away from Team SoyCD
We Minraize You Team held on to prise away the title of leading English community team away from Team SoyCD, by just 3 points with 5th overall.
Further back, the late run by Team Sweden saw them move up to 10th overall, 3rd best within the community, overtaking both Donkey Patrol and MOD Squad in the final week.

How the prize money was shared out
As always, PokerStrategy provided staking deals throughout the season to allow members of both communities to participate. Any staking deals not taken up together with PokerStrategy's share of the winnings from staked players formed the end of season prize fund which was allocated to the top two teams on a 60%/40% basis.
A total prize fund of $356.24 was therefore paid out, with Team Colombianos picking up $213.75 and Team GameOver $142.49.
