Two big tourney series conclude this Sunday
Today the KO Series at partypoker and Turbo Series at PokerStars come to a close, offering a guarantee of more than $6,000,000 in eight final events.
After its rebranding from Turbo Championship of Online Poker (TCOOP) to Turbo Series the revamped fast-paced tournament series of PokerStars will end its first run with a bang.
Today there will be two 'Twin Turbo' Main Events, both starting at 19:00 GMT. One is $55 to enter with $1 million guaranteed and the other is $1,050 to enter with a $2.5 million guarantee.
Besides getting the lion's share of the prizepool, the winners of the two Main Events will both also get a Platinum Pass for the PokerStars Players Championship worth $30,000. On top of that, everyone who played a Turbo Series event will be getting a ticket to an All In Shootout on March 5 for a third Platinum Pass.
Of course, players can still qualify for the Twin Turbo Main Events for a fraction of the cost through a wide range of satellites offered throughout the day.
KO Series: Six big finals at partypoker
As announced, today will also mark the end of partypoker's KO series, consisting exclusively of progressive knockout tournaments with five different buy-in levels; High Roller, High, Medium, Low and Micro.
The so-called final six 'Championship Events' that are due this evening at 17:00 and 19:00 GMT will offer a combined guarantee of more than $2.5 million with buy-ins ranging from $2.20 up to $5,200 for the Super High Roller.

The series is exclusively focused on progressive knockout events. In these tournaments every player has a bounty on their head, when they are eliminated half that bounty is awarded to the player who bust them and the other half is added to the bounty of that player.
