After the success at Kings Casino in Rozvadov, the next highlight is now on the tournament calendar. The next stop of 'The Festival Series' will be held at the Portomaso Casino.
This September, "The Festival Series" makes its return to Malta, featuring an exciting lineup of poker tournaments, gaming events, and off-the-table activities. The event runs from September 8th to 15th, starting just as the Vamos Poker Tour concludes, promising a seamless transition into a week of thrilling action and entertainment.
All poker strategists can win a package worth €1,850 online for "The Festival" in Malta on iPoker from 15 July to 19 August.
Package Info
- Main Event Buy-In: €550
- Hotel Accommodation: 6 nights in St. Julians, Malta, at one of the following or similar hotels: Cavalieri Art Hotel, JL Hotel, The Londoner Hotel St. Julians for two persons including breakfast worth €850 (Check-in: 9th September 2024 - Check-out: 15th September 2024)
- Hospitality Package: €200 (includes a daily group activity for 1 person)
- Spending Money: €250
Players are responsible for booking their own travel arrangements and ensuring their passport is valid and they have the necessary visa to enter the country of the tournament, if applicable.
Flighted Tournaments offering Packages
Day 1 flights with a buy-in of €100 are running daily on iPoker from 15th July to 18th August. A total of 33 packages will be given out, and the Day 2s are running on the following dates:

Each player can win a maximum of one package through online platform satellites during the promotion duration. Once a player wins a package, they will be excluded from all future package satellites for the remainder of the promotion. However, the seats are unlimited, and players can continue to win multiple seats even after securing a package.
Flighted Tournaments offering Packages
The tournaments run on Fridays (17:30 GMT), Saturdays (17:30 GMT), Sundays (19:30 GMT), and Mondays (17:30 GMT) with a buy-in of €50. Players can choose between two buy-in types: re-entry up to 5 times (€50 each) or unlimited rebuy (€50 each). This tournament offers 30 seats.
The Full Festival Schedule
The upcoming events include "The Hendon Mob Championship" with a €250 buy-in, spanning three starting days from September 8 to 11. The Mixed Games Main Event, featuring the H.O.R.S.E.S format, has a €550 buy-in and takes place over two starting days from September 8 to 10. The Festival Series Main Event, also with a €550 buy-in, will run across five starting days from September 10 to 15.
Franke’s Flip Flops
Another unique and established element of The Festival Series is Franke’s Flip Flops, a series of one-table sit-and-go tournaments that take place every evening from 9pm onwards. These tournaments have a €25 buy-in, with all players being dealt one hand and play continuing until only one player remains.
- Fast: These tournaments usually only take one or two hands to complete.
- Furious: You might often be ahead by the turn, only to face devastation on the river.
- Fun: The atmosphere is wild, with half the room chanting “flips, flips, flips” while chugging beers.
- No Rake: All winnings must be used to buy into events at the series.
They keep a tally of how many flips each player wins, and the player with the most wins each day earns a place on the final flip table at the end of the festival. The winner of the final flip table receives a €1,600 package to The Festival in Bratislava and a unique trophy constructed from the actual flip flops worn by Franke during the series.
Cash Game Challenge
The Festival Series primarily focuses on tournament poker but retains its roots from The Cash Game Festival by incorporating cash game activities. Each Festival Series event features a cash game challenge, where players strive to make the highest profit over a series of 2-hour cash game sessions, played at various stakes and formats. Profit is calculated in big blinds, and there is a prize for the player who achieves the most profit in a single session. The winner of the challenge receives a €1,600 package to The Festival in Bratislava
Hospitality & Off the Table Activities
Off-the-table activities at the Festival Series go beyond just drinking beer, although you can enjoy most of them with a cool glass of Cisk in hand. At the recent Festival in Rozvadov, hospitality events included a tuna sushi preparation demo, a sports day BBQ, pub games competitions, a trip to a brewery, karaoke, a late-night music festival, and a treasure hunt.
