WPT Global's new Mystery Bounty format is now live, offering players an exciting twist on traditional bounty tournaments. This cross-platform feature, available to the entire player pool, introduces a unique element of surprise where the exact bounty amount remains a mystery until a player is eliminated.
The popularity of the new Mystery Bounty format was evident this Sunday when the $55 Lucky PKO $30,000 GTD tournament adopted it for the first time. The result? A record-breaking 771 entries, surpassing the previous record by more than 130 players before the late registration period even ended!
Mystery Bounty on WPT Global
- Starting Phase: At this stage, players focus on accumulating chips and growing their stacks, without the added incentive of bounty rewards.
- Bounty Phase: Once the bubble bursts and the tournament field narrows, the Bounty Phase starts. In this exciting stage, players can earn Mystery Bounties by eliminating opponents. Each knockout awards a Mystery Chest, the contents of which are revealed only when the chest is opened.
During the Bounty Phase, players have the chance to win several Mystery Chests in a single hand, and bounties may be divided in the event of split pots. To enhance the excitement and strategy, the Mystery Bounty pop-out feature, located in the top right corner of the table, provides real-time updates on bounty distributions.
Additionally, WPT Global now features a new final table animation and theme, enhancing the prestige and excitement as tournaments approach their final stages. This upgrade brings a distinctive WPT flair to the concluding moments of each event.

With the new Table Starter Boost, players who initiate a new cash game table will receive enhanced rakeback, incentivizing early engagement and ensuring that games get underway without delay.
