PokerStrategy Freelancer Convention In Münster
Last weekend, over 70 moderators, coaches and sample hand evaluators came together in Münster for the biggest freelancer convention of PokerStrategy.com so far.
Last weekend, OnkelHotte, Wishmaster, Fenris and co. met our external video producers, moderators, coaches, strategy article authors, sample hand evaluators and news writers in Münster, Germany. In the workshops about the individual departments and Elephant, our staff members talked about further ways to improve PokerStrategy for you, and received some early insights in planned novelties. In addition, our site in Gibraltar was introduced.
Naturally, private discussions about poker and partying didn't have to be cut short - because how often do you get to meet so many like-minded people? Also there was some extensive partying in the Das Schwarze Schaf club (The Black Sheep) in the evening.

OnkelHotte, took over the video workshop on this occasion, so you can look forward to more videos with two coaches and video series about certain topics!
I was overwhelmed by the committed and constructive collaboration of every participant for the further improvement of video quality. Furthermore, there was also a wid willingness present to implement the results of the workshop as soon as possible. Thus we can offer the community many new and improved video formats in the near future already.
Sammy was also very happy with the results in the sample hand evaluator workshop:
The workshop has helped enormously, the personal contact was very productive. Every hand evaluator is very committed, and we immediately entered into the discussion. Currently, over 90% of all posted hands are being evaluated and the goal is a coverage reaching 100%.
Together with the moderators, Fenris
thought about how the forum moderation could be improved even more in a qualitative way, and how PokerStrategy could offer you additional value in the forum. Furthermore, the new forum structure was introduced which will go live this year:
The workshop was great. We were able to discuss many points collectively and constructively. Furthermore, we finally had the opportunity, to get to know many of our external staff members personally.
Naturally, I also enjoyed the party in the evening a lot, which could hardly be overlooked. 😉 So you can say that I saw the freelancer convention as a huge success, and that I am already looking forward to the next one which will certainly come!

The recently opened CoachBlog already announced that Berliner1982 plans a whole series of novelties:
It is very nice to be here. In our workshop, we talked about how we could improve the coaching quality, and thus the player quality even more. We plan to organise the coaching sessions even more professionally. Cancellations and relocations of set dates should become the absolute exception, and we plan more theory- and sample hand evaluation coaching sessions.

On the convention, Wishmaster introduced a not yet published version of Elephant to the external staff members:
I have taken the opportunity to show our external staff members, coaches, sample hand evaluators and video produces a not yet released version of Elephant, which the PokerStrategists can expect soon.
I want to thank our staff members for the feedback about Elephant once again. Only with your constructive feedback, can we keep on adapting the software as closely as possible to the wishes and desires of our members.
Stats: pre-flop, post-flop and heads-up steal
Below, you will see a preview of the numerous new stats which will be integrated into Elephant. Don't be amazed if you still find one or two mistakes in the displayed stats on the screen shots. Within the next two weeks, we will still be working on the correct revision of every value.

Offline HUD pop-up
With the next Elephant version, it will be possible to also take notes about players off the poker tables. A simple click on the hand view will be enough to open the known stats pop-up of a player.
Now, stats can be reviewed, or notes about unusual moves be written down. Naturally, these notes are then also at your disposal on the poker table in the game against that player.

Freely definable pop-up window
As you are used to PT2, it will be possible in the next version to define the most important values for you in a freely configurable pop-up. Everything will work as usual by a simple drag & drop onto the free area.

Last but not least, our freelancers were also given an introduction concerning Gibraltar - PokerStrategy's location. Meanwhile, almost every PokerStrategist of our 14 communities has settled down in the British overseas territory at the southern point of Spain, in order to provide you daily with the newest content of our poker school. frib: It is great to also meet others outside of the forum. This is very important, as the external staff members add a lot to PokerStrategy besides the Diamonds and permanent staff members.
