Interview with the creator of PokerJuice
We take some time out to learn more about the key benefits of PLO learning tool PokerJuice, with it's co-founder Nikolaj Borge.

PokerStrategy.com: Why is PokerJuice priced higher for higher stakes players?
Nikolaj Borge: When launching PokerJuice we decided that we would base our prices on end user value. From own perspective and based on feedback from beta testing group we believed that we had a unique product that could save hours of studying each week and wanted to price it accordingly. At that time we set the price to 149 euro/month.
This price was of course targeted mid and high stakes professional and not low stakes or recreational players but in the months after the launch we were very pleasantly surprised to experience the large interest and awareness from this particular group of players. Based on the feedback we decided to change focus so PokerJuice could be for everybody and hence we came up with the stakes differentiator.
If you look outside Poker, pricing SaaS (Software as a Service) products like this is standard and in Poker the best example is the rake paid. We too feel that this is the best way to secure that our users pay according to the value the program brings them. I want to add that nobody have to pay extra for the service of being able to import higher stakes if they don't use it. As a high stakes player you can go a long way with the GameBuilder (new feature to be released soon) and by only importing from PKJ files, forums and so on.
We are very confident that all regular PLO real money players can have a positive expected return on investing in PokerJuice with the present prices since it saves you so much time and will have such a big impact on your win rate over time.
"Fast and accurate information"
PokerStrategy.com: Specifically what are the features that you cannot find elsewhere and are not easy to work out manually?
Nikolaj Borge: Most of the information provided by PokerJuice is actually not easy to extract without an analytic software. The software can provide information and answers that would otherwise be extremely time consuming to try to get yourself. Just look at the enormous amount of posts where people ask if they can stack of on flop in a 4b pot. With PokerJuice you can get a fast and accurate response by importing the hand and running the 4bet module.
PokerStrategy.com: What would you say are the most common PLO leaks that this software helps with?
Nikolaj Borge: I would say that in the broader perspective not thinking in ranges is the biggest leak most PLO players have. If you only XR your top 10% on flop you have a pretty capped range on turn and can't really rep a whole lot later, making it easy to bluff catch against you. Or if you always and only 4bet your AA you give way too much information away about your range, both when you do and do not 4 bet.
"User friendly and intuitive"
PokerStrategy.com: Tell us more about the shove module feature.
Nikolaj Borge: The shove module is definitely one of the most used modules and probably also the module where you can find the most expensive leaks since it is most often a potential all-in situation that is analysed. When you consider a shove you can most often define a relatively exact stack-off range to your opponent. And with the assumptions assigned to villain on previous streets you have all the information you need and can just execute the module to find out if/how profitable shoving is.
PokerStrategy.com: Tell us more about the bluff catching module.
Nikolaj Borge: The bluff catching module is one of the more advanced modules but it is as the shove module very relevant and potentially the spot where most players have the hardest decision and a hard time analysing if they did the right thing. But if you can define a value betting range and a checking range then, combined with the assumptions assigned to villain on previous streets you have all the information you need. When you execute the module you have all this information displayed in a user friendly and intuitive way and hence making it easier for you to reach the right conclusion.
PokerStrategy.com: What happens in the monthly webinar you host?
Nikolaj Borge: Basically we want to show the participants how PokerJuice can be used in action and give them the chance to ask whatever questions they might have. We have had topics such as “High Stakes Review”, PLO Coaching Webinar”, “Introduction to PokerJuice” and “Multiway Equities”. Some of them are later published and some are kept private. The next two webinars in the making are the PokerStrategy Introduction Webinar where we are going to talk about the newest and largest release yet and then a webinar where I have invited all our PLO coaches to tell a little bit about how they use PokerJuice in real life.
