We interviewed liay5 from our Russian community and member of Team PokerStars Pro Online who, back in 2014, won the Miss Russian Community contest.
Here, the science fan and engineering student discusses her plans for the future and what she hopes to get out of the game.

When did you start to play poker: It was at the age of five.
Have you always been good at exact sciences: Yes, I've loved them since my childhood. My grandmother was a math teacher so she gave me extra lessons sometimes.
Which female poker players do you admire: Unfortunately, I don't know any women playing my variant of poker. Of those who play offline, I like Vanessa Selbst very much. She's a good poker player as well as a decent person.
What qualities are most important in a poker player: I think the main poker qualities are patience and diligence.
Why do you love poker: Poker is like a good PC game, slightly addictive. You either learn to be the best and beat the competition, or you just play for fun.
