How Lamentabla got two big multipliers in a row
We chat to another Spin & Go grinder who managed to win two x200 multipliers back-to-back!

So, tell us, who is ?
: I’m Asturian, 34 and I have lived with my girlfriend since 2013. I play poker for a living and as my secondary profession I’m a computer specialist.
When did you first discover poker?
: Well, back then in the beginning, 2003-2004, I was a young guy who never missed a party. Then one Friday night I could not go out and ended up in my room watching a documentary about Carlos Mortensen.
Before it was over I was on my computer looking for all the existing info about “online poker”. A week later I was freerolling in every room and studying as much as I could find in forums and books.
"A perfect opportunity"
Why did you decide to join SpinLegends?
: I didn’t want to waste any more time and I had a long road in front of me. On the one side, I like computing and I could live off that but something was telling me to give poker a real try. After so many years being so self-critical, I knew my mistakes. Somehow, I had isolated myself outside the community. I was always auto didactic and my lack of motivation was not allowing me to grow. SpinLegends was the perfect opportunity to start from scratch but, this time, doing it right. Education, discipline, community and very clear objectives.
What do you think of the education the school provides?
: For me it was a huge jump. I came from reading public forums and some books. When I joined SpinLegends and I saw all that material, the daily lessons, reviews, all those little details (the forum, share reviews with colleagues, discuss hands in a group)…. It was awesome!
At which level did you start? How much have you progressed?
: I started back in November directly in the €5s. It went quite well and by the end of the month I was already on €20s. I found it difficult to adapt, the gap is huge, so it was tough in the beginning. Still, my numbers were good and by Feb I started mixing €50s and €20s. For personal reasons, I could only play those for one month. Now I’m back on €20s strengthening my basics and trying to mechanize it as much as possible; playing vs regs requires a lot of time and for me it’s very important being able to make decisions fast. I want to be crushing the €50s by the end of May.
"I got back-to-back x200s!"

Recently you surprised us all winning 2 x 200 multipliers in less than 24 hours. Any interesting hands?
: They were back to back. The first one closed my grinding session on Wednesday and on Thursday I started my session winning the second one!
In the first x200 the most interesting hand was the one that won me the Spin. So I’ve got 73o in SB-HU with 11BB effective, opponent did not play much in BB-HU so I min raise the hand. Villain completes and we see the flop Ts3sTx. In a 4BB pot he pushes 9BB. I had some history with him, he donked quite randomly and I knew that a T would not give him that move so I called, he had QJo.

The second x200 was super smooth, very good hands preflop and hitting everything postflop.
What about your opponents?
: Two were regulars I knew. One of them a colleague from SpinLegends, 'Aspokkeras', a guy I respect a lot, really good player. The other, '6cellardoor', I don’t know him that much yet and he made things difficult for me 😉. The rest were recreational players.
Where will you be spending the money?
: I want to move to Malta or Portugal as soon as shared liquidity is a fact. So that money goes to the project “move to a tax-free country”
What is your goal for this year?
: Get max value from my education and keep on climbing. Hopefully by the end of the year I’ll be playing €100s.
