Poker is full of opportunities

We interviewed ValentjNN after he took third place in the Masters of PokerStars.

pokerstrategy: Hello, thank you for accepting this invitation and congratulations on that third place in the PokerStars Masters!

valentjnn: Thanks for the interview!

pokerstrategy: OK, to start, where do you live and what levels do you usually play?

valentjnn: I live in Buenos Aires, the capital of Argentina and I usually play between NL400 and NL2000.

pokerstrategy: What were you feeling after completing the Masters? Were you satisfied with the position achieved or do you think you could have won?

valentjnn: The truth is I was very happy and very satisfied. Just being in the top 10 is already a great achievement.

"Poker is a world of opportunities"

pokerstrategy: Which players surprised you by their level and were you suprised by how accessible your game proved to be?

valentjnn: We were playing with the regulars for a month, giving our best. Every regular gave his best effort in every situation, we all wanted to win.

pokerstrategy: What are your plans for the rest of 2017?

valentjnn: Every year I try to to give the best of me, to live in fullness with everything I do all year long.

pokerstrategy: This question is for the unbelievers to read; does cash still have a future?

valentjnn: I do not really know, but what I do know is that poker is a world of opportunities. Opportunities to grow as a player. It’s not too important to focus on what the future holds as the most important thing is to focus on the present day to day.

"Read psychology books to get to know yourself"

pokerstrategy: For those who are still following that cash at micro and low levels, what advice can you give them to take their game to the next level?

valentjnn: What a good question! I always recommend reading psychology books to get to know yourself. The results of poker are accompanied by an internal growth. Undoubtedly, I think that is what is most important for a player.
