Check out this Bad Beat Jackpot hand our member played
Quads lost to Quads in a pretty funny way over at the cash game tables at GGPoker for one of our Bankroll Challengers.
A lot of our Bankroll Challenge members have been involved in Bad Beat Jackpot hands because a lot of them play at GGPoker. This one we thought was particularly special.
Step forward our member ossenberg who was in the NL2 streets and playing as 'Rheinberg' in the hand below. This is the carnage that took place:

Weiger1980 flops quads and naturally, it gets checked down on the flop. Our man turns the boat and fires out a small bet, which gets called by everyone. He then rivers the superior quads and it is only now that Wieger1980 decides to act, open shoving for almost 200BBs.
It obviously worked out very well for him, but we just think it was funny how he didn't put a penny in when he flopped the nuts and then overbet shoved the moment his hand became no good.

The Bad Beat Jackpot at GGPoker
What makes GGPoker different from other poker rooms is that all their cash game tables are included in the Bad Beat Jackpot. The jackpot requirements are also looser than other poker rooms.
That means the jackpot is s triggered more often, but also, GG players are much more likely to be dealt into one.
The 'loser' of the hand gets 10% of the jackpot prize pool. The official winner of the hand gets 3%, and everyone else at the table gets 0.8%.
To be eligible the hand must go to showdown, the winner and loser of the hand must use both hole cards, and in the case of Quads, both the winner and/or loser need to be holding a pocket pair.
