GTO Wizard launches Fair Play Check tool

This week our new partner announced details of their vision to protect game integrity, including a new Fair Play tool and working closely with online poker rooms.

GTO Wizard announced a number of measures to prevent cheating, as well as revealed several poker operators who have been working with them to combat RTA online. 

The WPN network and WPT Global both announced they have been working with GTO Wizard to combat cheating online, while they also received a glowing reference from the Network Manager of iPoker, Baard Dahl.

GTO Wizard revealed they are working with several other poker rooms to tackle RTA, but those networks preferred not to be named to prevent potential exploitation. This is common practice online; most poker rooms do not give anything away with regard to their online security measures. 

The team at GTO WIzard have set up their own security team headed by Marc-Antoine Provost, the co-founder of Ruse. 

Fair Play Check

The biggest part of the announcement, however, was introducing a Fair Play Check tool. If you suspect a player has been using RTA at your table, you can now check with GTO Wizard whether particular spots have been looked up in the timeframe that you were playing.

This new step is in addition to several other measures to prevent RTA. GTO Wizard also has built-in delays that get slower and slower when a player looks up spots too fast, as well as limits to how many solutions can be looked up in a day. 

In the future, they will be using their software to give operators a seal of approval for their own game integrity standards. There will also be GTO Reports where you can upload hand histories to see if one of your opponents was playing 'superhuman' against you.
