Post flop PKOs in 2 minutes

Despite being early birds with PKO, ICM and post flop ICM content, Barry and I have only never really done much on the topic of post flop PKO strategy.

Here is the two-minute elevator pitch for how to play post flop pots when you can win a bounty.

The big surprise is that your post flop continue range does not widen considerably. You continue with the same holdings that continue in a non-PKO hand. If third pair on the flop is a fold in Chip EV world, it usually is in PKO world too.

Don't widen ranges but play more aggro

What changes, however, is that we play the hands that continue more aggressively. We bet more, we raise more and we call less.

Bet sizings in general go up, as you naturally want to get more money in the middle of the pot.

You should play draws more aggressively. When you can win a bounty you win more equity (the bounty) than the pot is laying you. That extra equity plus the equity you have for your draw makes semi bluffing a no-brainer.

Finally, if you have a hand that is unlikely to get a worse hand in the middle to win a bounty - just play it close to how you would in a non-PKO tournament.
