Events 40 & 41 started

The $2,500 2-7 Triple Draw Lowball (Limit) tournament (Event 40) and the $1,500 Mixed Hold'em (Limit/No-Limit) tournament (Event 41) have started. Greg Raymer leads in Event 40. Chip leader of Event 41 is Ricky Sanders. Jan von Halle is also still in the tourney.

Event 40 - $2,500 2-7 Triple Draw Lowball (Limit)

238 paid the buy-in for Event 40, generating a prize pool of $547,400. The winner will receive $151,896, 24 places will be paid. 30 players survived the first day.

Chip leader is Greg Raymer with 65,000 chips, but the field is still very close. The second in the chip count, Raymond Davis, has 64,000 chips at his disposal. Two more players have over 60,000 chips as well.

Still in the race are also Bill Chen (44,000), John
Phan (33,000), David Sklansky (26,000) and Chau Giang (24,000) amongst others.

Event 41 - $1,500 Mixed Hold'em (Limit/No-Limit)

For the 41st event of this year's series, 731 players registered. The prize pool amounts to $996,450, of which the winner will receive $219,217. 98
participants will return to the tables in the Amazon Room tomorrow.

According to the preliminary chip count*, Ricky Sanders leads the field, holding 79,500 chips. His closest follower is Jonathan Tamayo with 76,000 chips. Then there's a big gap in the chip count as the next listed player, Corey Parpart, has 38,000 chips.

Jan von Halle survived the first day as well. With 30,000 chips
he's in the upper-mid field and thus still has his chances for the next day. The Dutchman Rolf Slotboom also made it into Day 2 with over 18,000 chips.
